AMAZING! STUPENDOUS! MIRACULOUS!

Oh my.  What you guys did today?  OH MY.  Its been three hours and I’m still without words to fully describe how wonderful today was.  Seriously, you guys AMAZE me!!

I know I should make some snazzy, formal post that looks all pretty, but right now I just want you to know that WOW.  YOU ROCK!!! I want you to share in this moment, and see some of the footage of what you donated today–and of the seriously HUGE impact you’ve made!  Its unedited and rough and I apologize–I was both excited and blown away, coupled with some digital errors on my Flip video camera.  The cinematography won’t win any awards, but what you see on this video and photos definitely should!  You should win the most generous amazing readers on the planet award!!

Remember, they had one box of Cheerios on Tuesday. That was it.

This isn’t even 2/3 of what was donated.  There’s way more!  And more donations coming in according to the calls we got today!  We not only met our $5000 goal–I would not be one little tiny bit surprised if we doubled it!  In 48 hours!!

Thanks go to Kroger, biggs, Remke and Dominos for making very generous donations today!  I’ll have more on those later–they all have been very generous!

Thank you so much to Marci of CincinnatiCoupons, Amber of SavingMoneyWisely, Cindy of TheQHunter for all of their time and donations the past two days!  Thanks to Katie of CincinnatiCents, Becky of Nickels-N-Dimes and the ladies at HotCouponWorld for their support in spreading the word!  And of course, I can’t leave out CincySavers.com along with all the Bonneville radio stations–they have been a whirlwind of support helping us get all of this together and publicized so that the immediate need could be met–and then some!

I’ll have more photos uploaded to my Facebook page later today and tomorrow.  I met a ton of you and loved it!  Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

  1. Wow! This is huge! Your one voice started this! You should be bursting with joy! Thank you for motivating us all to be involved in helping those in need.

  2. Thanks should also go to the generous ladies at Cincinnati MomsLikeMe.com, especially CuriousGinger, who first brought attention to the Brighton Center article. Many moms there both donated from their own wallets and pantries and also helped others who normally don’t coupon to match coupons and deals to be able to get the best donation bang for their buck.

  3. Wow…this little video just made me cry. Earlier in the week I posed the question to another coupon site…at what point does stockpiling cross the line into being greedy? The generosity your video shows just shows me that for most of us..there is no greed involved whatsoever. Only the desire to do what is best for our families and communities. I only hope that everyone who was able to donate to this cause feels the joy they deserve. This is absolutely amazingly awesome!

    • I totally agree. You know, part of what made this so exciting for me is that I KNOW that most couponers in this area are incredibly generous. I know women who donate like this every few months. A friend loses a job, goes through a hard time, and suddenly half a dozen band together and drop off three months worth of food without batting an eye! I wanted to help out, and show what couponing allows us to do–to be frugal, yet generous at the same time. For me, its the parable of the Good Steward, lived out right in front of me!

  4. This does truly show the power of what can be done when someone like you “mobilizes the troops”!! The generosity is truly overwhelming!!
