Why I love this!
This is why I love doing this!! Today in one trip to biggs I saved $38 and spent only $16. I bought:
6 12 packs of Minute Maid lemonade
2 pkgs Hillshire Farms beer brats
2 pkgs John Morrell smoked sausage
15 powerade 32 oz
I paid $16 for all of that! The first three I detailed in my biggs roundup but the fourth I’m tickled over. Powerades are .79 each through tonight and next week’s ad overlapped. They’re on sale next week Buy 10 get 5 free. Add in my buy 10 get 5 free coupon and I paid $3.95 for 15 powerades!!
I also found 12 ct smores pop tarts marked 1.61. With the $1/1 mfq that makes them .61 a box. And they had the beef coupon book behind the butchers which was full of savings! The butcher said if you buy the sirloin tip (on sale for $1.99/lb) you get a free steak knife with it.
Here’s a pic of my cart:

Those foods are pretty unhealthy!!! yuck….what about more focus on affordable HEALTHY, non-processed foods???? I wouldn’t eat any of that…for any price.
Christina, I spent six months talking about eating healthy on a budget in the Enquirer and here, and you will frequently find me talking about Organic or fresh food deals. These just happen to be items I was excited about that week. Especially the Lemonade and Powerade, since its the only drinks my son will take his liquid vitamins in for his autism. The benefit of the vitamins way outways the effects of the sugar in those drinks. We also avoid all artificial sweeteners with him since they have very negative side effects for him.
