If you’ve been following my journey in Dieting on a Dime, then you probably know that I’ve lost 12 lbs already. I hurt my back in early March, but I’m recovering and learning a new skill–swimming. I’ve been learning to swim laps for three weeks now, working through a program called Total Immersion. Total Immersion teaches you lessons via DVD at home, then I head to the gym and swim through the exercises they’ve given me. In those three weeks I’ve worked my way up to 45 minute sessions of swimming laps. I’m really proud of that and can see my body changing already! Right now I’m swimming two days a week at Urban Active, and using the gym another 1-2 days to strengthen my legs and arms to aid in my swimming.
I love Urban Active. The atmosphere is bright, upbeat, and encouraging. I just feel pumped and ready for a workout when I step into their high-energy atmosphere. Everything is clean, well laid out, and simple to use. And there’s always someone around to help if I need it!
So I’m thrilled today to give one of my readers the opportunity to experience Urban Active too! I have a three month pass to give away. Just think–swimsuit season is just around the corner! You can get healthy and active in time for summer!
To register, leave a comment telling me what kind of exercise you’d like to do, and which Urban Active is closest to you! Oh, and the winner? Not only gets the 3 month pass, but they also get an extra TWO entries into the Kodak printer giveaway on Friday!!
