Its that time of year again…families across the nation are planning for summer magic…planning for all the meals, shows, rides and other things that go into making Disney magical!

We have a real love for Disney in the KnowitAll house.  My oldest, JD, is on the autism spectrum.  Every time we go, he makes amazing strides.  Its like Disneyworld is therapy for him.  And of course, I’m a big kid at heart, so the magic isn’t lost on me either.  Eating dinner at Cinderella’s Castle is as much a delight for me as it is for the kids!  Not to mention the rides!  If I could create a continuous loop of Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan, Buzz Lightyear, Toy Story, Pirates, Soarin, and Spaceship Earth, I think I’d never leave!  And then the food…oh the food!

I’m going to start a series sharing tips on how to save money at Disneyworld.  How to get the most out of Disney, and have a magical, yet frugal, vacation.  I’ll share tips on how to save money, but also on how spending a little bit more up front will often save you in the long run, in many more ways than one!

  3. Disney is offering military a great deal this year! You must serve some time in 2009 active duty to qualify. My husband is full time National Guard and serves several weeks a year “active duty” and we qualify. The person serving in the military gets in FREE and up to five of your family members get a huge discount. We got 4- five day park hoppers for just $375.00!!! Check with your closest ITT office for more details.

  4. Hi LMKIA!

If you need any help in this let me know. My husband and me just move here from Orlando, FL and I am a Disney freak. I know some local tips and lots of different ways to save $$$ while in FL.

you can email me if any questions :)

and BTW… before anybody asks us why we move to OH… long story short, job offer, fell through, moving back to FL in August :P

    Thanks!

  5. We are headed to WDW in May! Thanks for these tips!!! Can’t wait to hear more!

  6. Yay! We’re going to Disney June 6-13th. I’ve been doing some extensive research but there is so much information out there I know I’ll never cover it all before the trip. We are actually staying off site which I know is not usually recommended but with our group of 10 it worked out best.

I look forward to seeing what tips you have to share. I would love to hear more from the former Orlando resident. My hubby was in the Navy and stationed in Hawaii so I know the locals ALWAYS have the inside scoop!

As always, thanks for all of the great info you share!

  7. I remember reading about the Shades of Green last year. I need to learn more about it!

  8. Absolutely! Any time you would like to guest post, let me know!
